Training Overview
Our services are available to all breeds of dogs as well as all the "problem" dogs. We guarantee we can help you fix your dog and create that positive relationship you always wanted with them. We use a no-nonsense approach to training your dog without the use of clickers or treats. This method is simple and realistic where we use motivation and praise as the reward for good behavior. It is very effective and creates a strong relationship with you and your dog.
Obedience Programs
Obedience is key in society today. Without obedience there is not much you can do with your dog. Just taking your dog for a walk is a chore. Having your dog pull on you or jumping around and biting at the leash is not fun. We are always here to help dog owners fix their dogs problems and we start with an evaluation.
Initial Evaluation
Consultations: $30.00
All dogs start out with an initial evaluation which is anywhere from twenty minutes to an hour long private appointment with the owner Steve. This gives us a chance to see the dog and speak with you and get down to the problems, answer any questions and determine your specific training and behavior modification needs. Steve will design a plan with you to help you reach all your goals and touch on proper training for your dog at home. Please bring proof of vaccines to the evaluation.
Beginner Obedience
6 classes: $200.00
After your private evaluation with Steve you will be placed into our Beginner Obedience Program which includes training both you and your dog the obedience needed for society such as, walking on a leash in a "Heel" position, "Sit", "Down", "Stay", "Come" when called, any behavior problems you may be having, poison proofing, and a "place command." All of this is done in a 6-class course, each class is one hour long and can vary from 2 to 8 dogs participating with you. We also incorporate equipment used in our Agility program to help build your dogs confidence.
Intermediate Obedience
8 classes: $200.00
This class will advance you on everything that was learned in Beginner Obedience. This course is designed to be able to work with your dog in a longer distance and control them with either hand signals or verbal commands.
Advanced Obedience
8 classes: $200.00
This course is designed around getting your dog to the point of Off-Leash. It will put you and your dog in situations around other dogs and people where it is a must for you to have complete control over your dog. Before starting this course Steve will evaluate your dog and your ability to handle the dog in basic situations to determine if your dog is ready for Off-Leash.
Private Classes
One Hour Session: $75.00
Private one on one class can be scheduled to work on either obedience or any specific problem you may be having.
In-Home Visit

Protection Programs
Our protection program is specially designed for the skills necessary to either deter a potential threat or react in a manner to stop an attempted assault.
Details & Pricing
Single Protection Session: $35.00
Package of 12 Sessions: $300.00
Our protection program is specially designed for the skills necessary to either deter a potential threat or react in a manner to stop an attempted assault. Protection is offered to those who want to have a personal protection dog and to those training for various competitions. If you are interested in having your dog trained as a protection dog your first step would be to schedule an evaluation where the decoys will work your dog and assess their capabilities.
Agility & Grooming Programs
Agility Details & Pricing
Agility Course: $130.00
Agility is a great bonding experience for you and your dog! We have all the equipment used in a real competition for you and your dogs to try out. During the agility sessions each dog and handler gets a chance to create your own routines and perform them throughout the class. The equipment used in our agility program not only helps physically and mentally exercise your dog, but it also is a very big confidence builder for your dog. We use some of the equipment in our obedience classes because of the results of built confidence in your dog.
Groming Details & Pricing
Pricing varies depending on size of dog. Please call for more information.
Whether your dog is a puppy, geriatric or adult, is active, nervous or even aggressive, they are treated calmly, gently and with respect during the grooming process. We use only the best organic and natural shampoos on the dogs to leave them with a healthy coat.
A full groom includes your dog getting bathed twice, ears cleaned and nails clipped.
In Kennel Programs
3 Week Obedience Program: Details & Pricing
3 Week Program: $1800.00*
This is a three to five week long program where your dog will stay with us as we conduct obedience training and behavior modification. This program is not just for obedience and is available to those who have dogs with the highest level of aggression, anxiety or fear. Your dog will be treated as if they were our own. Although they are here for training, they will also be socialized with the outside world including dogs, people, and traffic. We will incorporate real world training in many different environments in order to get the most reliable results. This program has a very high success rate and is beneficial to both you and your dog. Included in this program is the initial evaluation, one private training session and 3 group training sessions. At the end of the program Steve will give you a complete review of your dogs' time spent at K-9 Top Performance.
12 Week Protection Program: Details & Pricing
12 Week Program: $3000.00*
This 3 month program is the same as the 3 week obedience program, but protection training will be the main focus.

K-9 Good Citizen Programs

Test Only: $30.00
Two Prep classes and Test: $100.00
According to the AKC, the Canine Good Citizens Test was started in 1989. This program is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. Dogs that pass the test posses a solid obedience foundation and are a joy to live with because of their manners that they share in home and in the community. AKC CGC dogs respond well to household routines, have good manners in the presence of people and other dogs, and fully enjoy the company of the owner who took the time to provide training, intellectual stimulation, and a high quality life. We sincerely hope that CGC will be only a beginning for you and your dog and that after passing the CGC test, you'll continue training in obedience, agility, tracking, or performance events.
